What this space is for

UntreX exists for people to preserve real moments from their lives. These guidelines exist to keep that possible — for the person writing and for anyone who might read a public story or join a Room.

Be honest about what you share

Public stories should be genuinely yours — your own experience, in your own words. Don't impersonate someone else or present fabricated events as true public content.

Respect the people in your stories

Memories often involve other people. Be thoughtful about what you share publicly regarding someone else, especially anything private, identifying, or unwanted.

In Rooms

Public Rooms are seen by anyone on UntreX — treat them accordingly. Because everything in a Public Room disappears after 24 hours, we can’t review it after the fact, so report anything concerning immediately, while it’s still there. Private Rooms are fully peer-to-peer and encrypted, so moderation there is not possible on our end — use them with people you trust.

What isn't allowed

Harassment, hate speech, threats, or targeted abuse toward any person or group.

Illegal content of any kind, including anything that endangers a minor.

Deliberate misinformation presented as fact in public content.

Spam, scams, or content designed to manipulate Discovery.

Reporting a story

Any public story, comment, or Public Room message can be reported directly from the app while it’s visible. Reports go to a real person, not an automated filter alone.

Enforcement

Depending on severity, we may remove content, restrict its visibility, or suspend an account. We aim to explain what happened and why, and to give a path to appeal when the situation allows for it.
